Articulate Content Crashes IE6 PDF Print E-mail

We've been having problems with Articulate content failing to launch in or even crashing IE. We are testing from our Moodle development environment. We found the following online solution and are currently testing:

We did manage to get the Articulate Courses working in IE6 as well however by editing the player.htm file that is generated by articulate and moving the line that includes the flashcommand.js to just after the HEAD html tag.

Even with this change, the flash component of the articulate courses still did not start on some workstations. By tweaking browser settings it turned it out that it was also necessary to switch off the "Do not Save Encrypted Pages to disk" option under the Advanced Internet Options (our LMS is running on a HTTPS server). There is also an entry in the Microsoft Microsoft Help and Support describing this problem - this again seems to be only related to IE6.

This issue does appear to be limited to IE. We haven't had any problem with Firefox or Safari. However, we are also having issues on IE7. There also seems to be the added twist that the course launches when logged into Moodle as an admin, whereas it fails when logged in as a student. We're not running under HTTPS so its unlikely the second fix will be necessary.

So our first test will be to make the change to player.htm
